I believe the place is beautiful, but the constant sales pressure has gotten worse every year. People try to sell excursions, massages, and upgrades as soon as you arrive, and they were still pushing upgrades and the ying yang spa when we came back this time. We bought the presidential suite package with VIP on our first visit. They promised a golf cart, access to all areas, and the ability to pass the membership to our son. That was the main reason I bought it, because we loved the place. On our second year, they said there would be no golf cart. We also had no hot water, and they tried to sell us an upgrade to villas. We were so upset that we figured we'd wait a few years before returning. We're here again now, and after three days we keep losing power. They shut off the hot water too. Water still comes out, so someone has closed the valve. I politely went to the presidential suite staff at 8 a.m. the next morning. The woman was nice and said she'd tell maintenance. I went to my second spa appointment, but by 4:40 they still hadn't dealt with it. I've spoken with other members who bought packages and upgrades and are also getting the runaround. One woman had been here four days and was already on her fifth golf cart. Buyers, beware.

What stood out most was the staff's service. It felt like five star care, delivered with real courtesy. Thanks to Alfonsina Inoa from the customer service team for her polite help. I had a great stay: the rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious, the beach was awesome, and the hotel isn't far from the city.

The best part was the location, with easy access to pools, beaches, food, and the oceanworld water park attraction. There were lots of swimming spots, though some pools needed cleaning. The maids also deserve credit for cleaning the villa every day. Almost everything else was below average. The villa badly needs renovation, from the technology to the doors, and service was mostly mediocre. The food was free, but I would rather pay for truly delicious dishes, which the resort didn't serve. My family's golf cart had limited seats, and the upgrade we deserved never came. I didn't enjoy this vacation much and would rather stay at resorts in other countries, like Guatemala. DO NOT TRY THE SEAFOOD! You've been warned.

Amanda Peguero was kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and the service overall was outstanding. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety and great quality. We had an excellent experience at Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort, and I'd recommend it and visit again.

The rooms in Cofressi and Tropical need a lot of maintenance. The newer properties are great, but they need to keep a closer eye on upkeep. Rain leaked into our villa around the windows and walls. We were in VP 10. Our Concierge Leo was excellent, very attentive, and clearly cared about his customers. He took care of everything we needed, and I couldn't have better things to say about him.
