Blue Beach Punta Cana A102

We had a great time with family, and the staff worked hard to make us happy. The suite was spacious and very nice, with a large balcony. The pool was great too. Our room was beside the smaller restaurant near the beach, about 400 feet from the cabana bar, where we had a few drinks. Getting a cab or ride was easy, and the front desk helped arrange it. The drivers were polite and took their work seriously. We ate at the resort restaurants and a few nearby cafes. Jumbos grocery store was fairly close, so we went several times, and there's a nice cigar shop in the mall next to it. The road to the resort is in very poor shape, though locals seem used to it. The resort itself is in fair condition, and the outside of the units could use paint. A few locals set up tables to sell things, and we bought something most days. Some vendors were nice, but others were too pushy, especially around the lobby and restaurant in the evenings. The music from the cabana bar was so loud almost every night that it was hard to sleep. In our room we had to use high-quality headphones and white noise, no joke. I recommend Bose. It only stopped at midnight, and there was just one night without the problem. We think the bar staff are told to play it loud to draw people in. I wouldn't recommend a suite in this area. We hope

The apartment had a good amount of space, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, and a nice patio. There was a pool and a private beach. My main complaint was the terrible Wi-Fi, and the pool wasn't deep. It would be helpful if they opened the on-site store or restaurant.

The food was barely warm, and I hope you like it at room temperature. Of the restaurants advertised on the website, only one was open each night, so that was your only dinner option. The selection was very basic, especially after the two busloads of local visitors left. There was entertainment on just one night out of five, when those visitors were there. There was no nighttime entertainment otherwise. The website also listed cooking classes, but they weren't offered, and staff said they knew nothing about them. The pictures and list of amenities online look great, but please don't book this resort. My warning is serious. We raised these problems during our stay and got the same response you just gave us, Mr. Ignacio Rodríguez, General Manager. None of this is new to your staff. You can back up what you say by refunding 25% of our stay, since the experience wasn't worth the full amount we paid.

The beach never felt crowded with salespeople, and the pool was quiet. The guests we met were lovely, and we had a lovely all-inclusive vacation when the property was still part of the Radisson group. I expected more dining options, though the buffet was wonderful and the beachside bar was great. There weren't many activities either, but our activity leaders were fun and welcoming.
