Finest Punta Cana by The Excellence Collection - All Inclusive

This is our second visit to Finest Punta Cana, and it remains our favorite Punta Cana resort for family trips. We’re here for five nights, and the resort is clean, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, luxurious atmosphere that still feels welcoming. The gorgeous beach has lots of room for families and never feels crowded. Wandel from Bar Laguna has been serving us at the beach during our stay. He’s been exceptional: attentive, kind, professional, and always checking that our family has what we need. Jose in the pool area has also been welcoming and watchful, making sure guests are comfortable. The restaurant service around the resort has been excellent, and Lelena, Isabel, and Maria were all amazing in the buffet restaurant. We love the vibe and will keep coming back. Highly recommend it for families looking for a clean, relaxing getaway with great service.

We had a great week here with our 7 month old. The team were so welcoming and warm with our baby, who loved interacting with them. Juan Carlos looked after us so well at the pool, and Edwin deserves a shout out too. The Finest Club room gave us access to a separate pool, restaurant, and bar, which we used throughout the week. Those areas felt elevated and never too busy. All the pools were lovely, with different options, plenty of beds, and lots of towels. The grounds were spacious, green, stylish, and nice to stroll around. There were loads of restaurants with different cuisines, so the variety kept meals interesting. The food tasted fresh and wasn’t too heavy, and the drinks were generous, well made, and varied. Our room was very spacious and had its own pool, which made for a peaceful retreat. It did feel plain, though, with a few little things needing repair and fewer finishing touches than the rest of the resort. It didn’t feel as luxurious as the other areas.

We had such a great time together as a family, with time to relax and have fun. The resort is beautiful, with great amenities for little ones, and the food was good. It’s one of the best resorts I’ve ever visited. Guillermo at the Limbo bar was friendly and welcoming every day. At the sweet corner, Rafaela and Yanisa made delicious coffee and were lovely every time we stopped by. Amazing service, and we’ll definitely be back :)

The adults-only pool was a standout for us, and the grounds are still beautiful. We returned after first visiting when the resort had been open about six months. We enjoyed this vacation, but some things felt different from that first trip. Service wasn’t quite what we remembered. On our earlier visit the staff seemed more friendly and personable, while this time interactions felt more transactional and less memorable. We also stayed on the adults-only side with Club status, but the upgrade didn’t feel like much value. We expected better liquor and a more premium drinks experience, but the alcohol selection seemed the same across the resort. Food was our biggest letdown. There was good variety, but many dishes were bland and lacked flavor. Better quality, seasoning, and execution would make a real difference. A few spots, especially the Club lounge, also felt musty and in need of a refresh. It wasn’t a major problem, but it took away from the upscale feel. We still had an enjoyable vacation and liked the adults-only amenities, especially the pool. With better food and drinks, fresher spaces, and more personable service, this could easily be one of our favorite resorts again.
