The rooms are huge, with a big balcony, and the whole place feels calm and relaxing. Great food, a lovely atmosphere, and amazing staff.

Maria deserves a special thank you for taking care of every little detail. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which made our vacation unforgettable. They helped me put together a surprise birthday for my husband, and it all went perfectly. It became the best birthday of his life. We had a wonderful stay at TAN Resorts Marina Cap Cana. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious, comfortable rooms, lovely views, and a relaxing feel.

The Italian restaurant was really good, and there was a great selection of food. I don’t care what anyone says, this was a very, very good all inclusive resort, and I can’t wait to return to see the friends I made there. I have four trips left on my vacation package, and I’m going back specifically to the tan resort to say hello to Chanel, Ricardo, Maria, and the other wonderful staff who took such good care of me and my child. I stayed with my son January 19 through the 23rd. The reviews had made me skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It was a little on the empty side, and the service was spectacular. Chanel at the front desk was so helpful and drove me wherever I needed to go. Fransisco by the pool ran the water activities, was a sweet young man, and played with my son. Ricardo and the other ladies in the buffet area were an absolute delight. Ricardo also waited on us at the beach. Maria behind the bar, along with Felix and Mary Bell, were all very sweet and helpful. Excellent job, guys! Love, Rachel Johnson

The day we booked was rainy, and when we tried calling the day pass service and the hotel, neither answered. We had a car, so we drove over to ask what to do. The receptionist was very nice and said we could come back on another date without a problem. We’d booked a day pass at Tan Resort Marina and Villa, which the service advertised as fabulous with a 9/10 rating. The pictures showed a 5-star hotel, and the Google Maps reviews were positive. Before leaving, we looked around and were disappointed by how run down the facilities seemed. There’s no beach access, just one small pool with limited seating. The restaurant smelled strongly of chlorine. I wouldn’t stay there even for free, let alone pay $80 per person. I sent the day pass service pictures of what we saw. They replied quickly, apologized, and said they’d resolve it. I asked to move our booking to another resort we’d already visited and liked, at the same price, and assumed transferring the $36 deposit would be straightforward. They first agreed, but after days of waiting, with only two days until we left, they refused the switch and wouldn’t refund the reservation fee. They told us to sort it out directly with the hotel. We were trying to help by pointing out that the resort was misrepresented and shouldn’t be rated above 3 stars, so future guests wouldn’t be disappointed. Still, we were left without a solution and out of pocket. The facilities are misrepresented, and most of the photos aren’t of the hotel. Look at the last picture: the small pool with almost no furniture is all they have. Even if you’re deeply unhappy, you’ll lose your deposit, so book with that in mind.
