It’s a quiet area, and the rooms were nice in a secure location. My only issue was that the concierge doesn’t arrive until 11 a.m., so you have to wait until then if you want coffee.

I got in close to 2:00 am after telling Mr. Miguel I might arrive around then from Boston. He stayed up and answered when I called so he could let me in, which I really appreciated since you wouldn't normally expect someone to pick up at that hour. The room was clean, and he didn't charge my card before I arrived. Mr. Miguel was very pleasant to deal with. I'd encourage people to stay at El Montserrat Hotel Boutique.

The bed was comfortable, though the bathroom sink was really small. It's a huge house that's been converted into a sort of hotel. Booking through Airbnb seems like the better deal. The 11:00am checkout time wasn't great.

We only stayed a short time, but I'd come back. The place was clean, and it had hot water, AC, a full kitchen, and a TV. We couldn't get the WiFi working, but having the TV was enough for us.
