Hotel Navarro

The bill was the worst part of the evening at El Navarro. We were charged for premium drinks we hadn’t ordered, doubles when we’d asked for singles, and a side dish we’d been told was included. There was no language mix-up, I speak Spanish. If we’d actually had everything on that bill, we wouldn’t have been able to walk out of there. The paella for three that my friends and I shared tasted nice, but had lots of empty shells and fish bones, hardly any seafood meat, and tiny, overcooked shrimp still in their shells. My husband’s Camarones al gusto was a small serving with tiny, unpeeled shrimp, unpleasant to eat. At least our waiter was hospitable and the company was great, so we enjoyed the evening. Still, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you’re fine with feeling ripped off at the end.
