The photos make Ilios look like it could be a special place, but management isn’t willing to invest in what’s needed. I’m here for a few more months for work, though I’d encourage others to look elsewhere for proper accommodation. The people here do their best, but they don’t have the training or expertise to fix the building’s problems. Maintenance and upkeep lack professionalism, especially the reluctance to bring in qualified people for issues that have been going on for a while. Ilios needs new leadership and higher standards. I spent two fantastic weeks here. The apartments have just been remodeled and are very clean. There’s a beautiful swimming pool and a gym, all right in the city center. Perfect quality for the price.

After we arrived, the air conditioning was off, the refrigerator wasn’t plugged in, and the TV decoder was broken. All the plates were covered in water. Even after switching everything on, the apartment was still like an oven. The air conditioner was in the bedroom, while the living room sits in a corner of the building and stayed very hot all day. The next day we met the booking woman in the office. She was very impolite, didn’t introduce herself, and only talked about money. When I explained the air conditioning problem, she told me to turn it down or we’d have to pay extra for electricity. We left after two days in that oven and booked a hotel. The pool water was dirty and green, and there was a lot of noisy traffic at the crossroads downstairs. The Chinese restaurant downstairs was nice, though.

The food is good and inexpensive, but the service is really bad. The waitresses often forget about you, and food takes an awfully long time. At one point I had to get up from the table just to ask for the check.
