I've rented two different Hill Top units from Mr. Davis, and both were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The ocean view is amazing, perfect for morning coffee or watching the sunset. It's a secure complex, and Alvaro, the property manager, was always available. Hill Top is within walking distance of everything you need in Sosua, so I'll definitely stay there again.
Hill Top is one of my top three places to stay in this area. Alvaro is a great property manager, always responsive and attentive to making sure you don't have problems during your stay. The place is clean, private, and secure. Hope you get him as your manager.
We had a two-bedroom oceanfront rental with a huge balcony, which worked well for our group. Waking and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was amazing. It's modern and comfortable, with excellent security and good service overall. The pool is on the small side, but it's quiet and never busy. We could have used more kitchen plates, since the supply was quite minimal compared with other Airbnbs. The modern kitchen has a stove and you can cook pretty much anything. For drinking, filtered water is best. Tap water is fine for cooking, but for washing salad, use a drop of water-cleaning mix and soak it for 15 minutes. The filtered water costs $1, and a large amount lasted the four of us two days.
It's one of the best condo complexes in Puerto Plata province, just a stone's throw from the beach and one of the area's best restaurants.
