Hotel Sidi Yahia

The Wi-Fi was really poor, and late checkout was categorically refused when I asked. They were flexible about changing my arrival date, though. Breakfast was decent, but the room was cramped and it was hard to find an empty table. There was no variety either, the same items every day.

The rooms didn't justify the price or the hassle. The floor was dirty, the bed covers weren't clean, the beds weren't very comfortable, and the pillows were almost flat. Soundproofing was terrible, the air conditioning didn't work, the toilet was broken, and the window view was poor. I wouldn't recommend it at all. The location and customer service were bad, the rooms were poor, and it was far too expensive when better, cheaper options were available. Everything felt chaotic and stressful from arrival until we left. Even with a booking made online ten days ahead, they might still mark the room as unbooked. They don't explain the requirements in advance, such as needing parental consent if a minor is staying. The worst part was how they gave us the information one piece at a time, making the whole process stressful. Even after paying, we had to come back multiple times to confirm the rooms were available. The service was unacceptable, rude, and disrespectful.

The staff were very friendly, including the women doing room service. The hotel is right on a shopping street and makes it easy to get around Hydra.

I didn't enjoy my stay or feel comfortable there. The night shift staff were rude and unpleasant. It also didn't seem like a place for couples, so don't bother.
