The sheets had hair on them, apparently from the escorts working there, and the room only had lukewarm water. In winter, nights in this city are freezing, so that really wasn't enough. The staff also came across as arrogant and dismissive. Since it's a state hotel, they seem not to care whether guests are happy with the service. I stayed in winter, when most of the rooms were occupied by escorts. I really wouldn't recommend this place. If you're just passing through and don't mind those issues, you can spend the night for 3600 dinars, but otherwise go somewhere else.

The pool and garden were lovely spots to unwind with coffee in the morning, and the location is right in the city center. The staff gave me a warm welcome and were quick to respond whenever I asked for something. I'll come back when I'm in el Oued again, nchallah.

The room had a lovely view, and the hotel's architecture is beautiful. It's also in a very good location, though it could use more maintenance.

I've seen better options around. There's nothing particularly special about this hotel.
