Hôtel-appart Boumellit

I felt uncomfortable during the stay, like I was being watched. There was a bearded man always hanging around the reception hall. Man, please go to your desk or stay away from reception. That area is for customers, and having you there made me feel very uneasy.

The food had enough variety, and the staff were professional and respectful. I especially liked the room’s interior design and general style. It was a great experience, and I’d come back and definitely recommend it.

The apartment had the basics, but the layout left a lot to be desired. There’s barely a balcony: the only one is tiny and unbearably hot from the outdoor AC unit. The terrace is boxed in by a high wall, so it feels claustrophobic and has no view. Parking was the biggest headache. It’s a long way from the hotel, unfinished, and squeezed into a residential area between two houses. It’s just dirt with temporary tin walls, and the agent locks it when leaving at night, making it a hassle to get to your car late. Breakfast was good, though being asked for my room number every day felt unwelcoming, like they thought guests might eat twice. The restaurant was disappointing: meals cost too much, portions were too small, and the taste was nothing special. I left hungry. The stay was okay, but given all that, it wasn’t worth the price.

The furniture is very nice, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Service was great too. There’s only a kitchen, and there isn’t much space.
