Costa Mimosa Hotel & Bungalows

The location is good and the staff are very nice, but the overall experience wasn’t great. We’ve stayed at other hotels in Algeria that offered much better value. The reception never answered the phone when we needed something, and the breakfast was minimal and below average. At one point there was no water left, and the waiter simply said so and went back to work. There was no wifi, so forget about working online. We booked for two adults but weren’t given two towels. Tidiness was an issue too: we had to ask for the towel to be changed when we arrived, and there was bread on the floor.

It’s a calm, pleasant place to stay, and there’s still some construction happening at the hotel. I noticed a few things that could be improved; otherwise, it would have been awesome.

We came back because our 2018 visit had been much better, hoping the place had improved, but this time it was worse than ever. The breakfast was the cheapest and worst we’d tasted, with 5da cheese, no eggs, and cheap coffee. You could really tell it was a cheap breakfast. Nights were boring, with no events or music most of the time, maybe twice a week, so it didn’t feel like a vacation. The pool was very dirty and crowded, with green water that didn’t seem to be cleaned properly. I got an ear infection from the dirty water. I don’t recommend it. You pay a lot and don’t get much back.

Loved staying here, tbh. It was just one night, but I’ll definitely visit again!
