Hotel Windsor

It meets the expected standard for a hotel, though I wouldn’t call it great. For this historic city, it feels pretty mediocre. I hope the people in charge improve things. Good luck to visitors and everyone else.

I found dead cockroaches in the stairwell, then three live ones in my room. When I told reception I was allergic, they just suggested killing them there instead of offering a proper fix. I was eventually moved, but the new room hadn’t been cleaned: the sheets were dirty and there was hair on the bed and pillows. When I asked for clean bedding, I was told, “It doesn’t matter, you’ll just sleep.” I nearly stayed here, and it turned into one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I paid for basic hygiene and respect as a customer and got neither. Avoid this place if you want a clean, decent room to sleep in.

For 5,000 dinars, there are much better hotels right next door. I spent just one night here and came away really disappointed. The service was very poor, the staff weren’t welcoming, and breakfast was skimpy, just two croissants for five people. A real disaster.
