Renaissance Tlemcen Hotel

I really liked the traditional look, it felt authentic, and the designers deserve credit for it. The building's architecture is impressive, but the upkeep is poor, from the elevators to the bathroom tiles. Service suffered from having so few staff, even with few guests around. The buffet used to be nice, but lately it's got worse: a 6000da dinner with almost nothing but pasta and cold roasted potatoes. Room service is best avoided, and eating in the room isn't worth it. The TVs look stuck in 2005 and need replacing. The air conditioning didn't work properly either. It was set to heating at a fixed level for every room, so even when mine was hot, it kept blowing hot air. I had to open the windows to get fresh air.

Calm and cozy, with a great location and amazing views. I love the architecture, and it seems like a good place to hold events. There aren't many guests, probably because the prices are high. For what it costs, the service could be better.

The meals were a highlight: dinner was delicious and beautifully presented, and breakfast had a broad selection for different tastes. The room was spotless and well equipped, with excellent bedding, a pristine bathroom, and a very good baby cot that made things easier for us as a family. The clean air and peaceful setting also added to our comfort. Check-in was quick, and the staff were professional, friendly, and smiling. Compared with last year, I noticed real improvements around the hotel. The Renaissance Tlemcen in Lala Seti gave us a high standard of service and accommodation. The elevators still need better maintenance, and the room TVs should be updated. I'd recommend it for leisure or business, a five-star stay with warm Algerian hospitality.

The Tlmecan cable car is just a seven-minute walk away, then it's a five-minute ride to the city center. The hotel itself sits in a quiet area surrounded by natural scenery, and the staff were super friendly, especially room service. Amazing place to stay.
