We left and found somewhere else after seeing the place. What we found was run-down and in much worse shape than expected from the reservation. The surrounding area didn't feel safe to us, with bushes where people seemed to hide and young people using drugs nearby. Even though it's across from the beach, it didn't feel like a family-friendly setting.

The owners are attentive to every little detail, and the place is comfortable and clean. A great choice if you're hoping to get away from the noise. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The hotel is by the beach, but getting to the Tonsupa boardwalk takes a while. The $60 rate felt too high for old facilities that haven't been maintained, and the good reviews had given me different expectations. The staff weren't friendly in my experience, and nobody even said goodbye or mentioned they would be back. I wouldn't return. I was also caught off guard by the payment demand. They asked for 50% to reserve, then wanted the whole amount as soon as I got out of the car. I've travelled around the country and hadn't been asked to pay in full before knowing how long I'd stay. I agreed to the 50% deposit during peak season, but we were the only guests there. Locals in Tonsupa are hurting tourism.

The hotel is simple, but the service really stood out, so that's why I gave it this rating. The rooms have air conditioning, a TV, and security. There's a pool with direct access to the sea, and breakfast was delicious. You can also barbecue and spend a quiet evening there.
