The old house gives Hotel 503 a lot of character, and it’s been beautifully preserved. Our room was comfortable, breakfast was included and very good, and the location made it easy to explore Baños. Paul was a big part of what made the stay so enjoyable. He was kind, attentive, and always happy to offer useful recommendations.

Paul, the chef and owner, deserves a shout-out. Great job! The room was super clean, and both the service and location were excellent. Really nice hotel. I’m definitely going back.

Paolo seemed to be everywhere, from the front desk to serving in the restaurant and helping at breakfast. Whenever we needed anything, he was there. We also liked the look of the place and having two separate sleeping areas for us and the kids.

We really enjoyed the food, especially the extremely good breakfast, and the welcome was warm and friendly. It’s a lovely place to pause while visiting Baños, with top-notch service and a clean, well-equipped room. The restroom door wouldn’t close properly, though.

Paúl was the highlight for us. He was the only one who spoke English and went well beyond his job, helping us with a serious personal issue and getting up early to make the best breakfast we had in Ecuador. The location is great, on a quiet street by the thermals. The 118-year-old house has had a lot of renovation and decorating, but there are still some structural issues. The Internet was poor, which I think was a problem with the provider despite Paúl trying hard to fix it. The mattresses could use an update too.
