Hotel Chat Noir Cuenca

The room was small, the WiFi was bad and there was nowhere to park. I'd choose another hotel in Cuenca.

We lost the payment for three nights when we left, because the hotel refused to refund us. The replacement hotel the staff offered was in even worse condition. The three rooms we were given were in very poor shape: dirty sheets, damp bathrooms and walls with bad hygiene conditions. One smelled terribly of damp and mold, and had raised ceiling panels with wires showing. On arrival, the rooms weren't ready at the stated check-in time. We wanted to pay by card, but were told there would be a 10% surcharge, so we had to pay by transfer. Terrible service and no cleaning. Only stay here if you want to lose your money.

We were very disappointed by the hygiene and service compared with what the photos led us to expect. All three rooms we booked had cleanliness and maintenance problems: dirty sheets, damp bathrooms and walls in poor condition. One room smelled strongly of must and mold, and had loose ceiling tiles with exposed wiring.
