We felt disrespected as a family. A server asked what drinks we wanted, then never brought them until we reminded him. After he set them down, he didn't say anything else. At night, if you step out for a cigarette or a walk, be careful: a worker may lock your room door while you're outside. The place is wildly expensive, with prices higher than in America. Charging 3 for a can of Coke is outrageous. The staff were rude, and if I could give it -10 stars, I would.

Around 10:30 p.m. we asked receptionist Sebastián for a towel and a bottle of water. We called reception several times and messaged the hostel on WhatsApp, but got no answer. He finally brought them close to midnight, over an hour later. When we asked what took so long, he was very rude and nearly threw the towel at us. He said there was no room service after 10 p.m. and that he was only doing us a “favor.” That attitude was completely unacceptable for a place that should treat guests with hospitality and respect.

We paid a premium, and a clearer description would have spared us the surprise: a place for 5-6 people had just 1 bathroom. We ended up going out to use public restrooms several times. 😬

The chocolates were a letdown. We bought 4 things for 15 dollar, but they were a little stale and didn't have much flavor. For 3 dollar a gram, I expected the chocolate to blow my mind. Instead, it was just... nah. I felt scammed. We'd watched videos praising the place, so we came expecting good service too. It was insanely expensive, and staff seemed annoyed whenever I asked about the products in the chocolateria. This place is expensive as hell.
