The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were exceptional. We were happy with our stay, especially since we spent our days out visiting town and slept well at night. Just be aware that breakfast starts at 7:30, and guests talking in the dining area can be heard in the surrounding rooms if you're trying to sleep in. The hotel's restaurant can bring evening noise too, and some rooms are actually in part of its dining area. The building is a beautiful historic place in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk from the historic center. The room was spotless and had everything we needed: a clean bathroom with soap and shampoo, glasses for water, a bath, floor and hand towels, closets, hangers, drawers, suitcase holders, towel hooks, and windows for light. The temperature was pleasant, there were plenty of blankets, and the bed was comfortable.

You're close to Cuenca's colonial sights, with lots of good shops and restaurants nearby serving local and international food. Amazing place, you'll love it.

The staff were welcoming and friendly every time we interacted with them. It's an old fashioned, quaint hotel that feels like stepping back in history, and it's within walking distance of the Cathedral, the park square, and some great restaurants.
