They were very nice, and the food was really good at both breakfast and lunch. The place was clean and handy for getting around on foot, but the rooms and bathroom were on the small side. They don’t speak English. We’re in our 70s, and after walking around town, climbing the stairs was difficult. There’s no elevator.

We stayed in room 12 with a few friends. It was a lovely apartment-style room with a living room, dining area, kitchen, three beds, a bath, and a powder room. The place was lovely and not too costly, and you can find it on Airbnb. The first time we turned on the shower, it took about 10 minutes to get hot. Other than that, everything was fine. Complimentary breakfast is served from 7-9.

We won’t be going back. We got too comfortable and trusted the staff too much. Even though we specifically asked for no room cleaning, two people in our group had money taken. They didn’t take everything, just enough to make you wonder if it happened or if you miscounted. I had a significant amount with me, and $100 was taken. We didn’t make a big issue of it, but don’t leave valuables in your room. I know you should travel safely with your money in Ecuador and not leave it in a hotel room.

The staff were talking loudly in the restaurant until 1am. I had to get up and ask them to be quiet. They did lower their voices, but I could still hear them. On top of that, the room was dirty, with used qtips and lots of hair on the floor and in the bathroom. My room had cold water, the TV didn’t work, and neither did the WiFi. We were meant to stay two nights, but the next morning we asked for our money back. The worst experience ever!
