Ñañas Hostel

There's so much potential here. The location is amazing, and it's a beautiful house with a lot of atmosphere. There were more volunteers than guests hanging out in the dorms, common areas and on the rooftop. But there were no activities, tourist advice or good communication.

The rooms are beautiful and cozy, the location is very good, and the rooftop is really nice. The hostel's idea of what it should offer is a bit odd, though: access is only from 7 am to 11 pm, even on New Year’s Eve, in an area full of bars and clubs. In the end they arranged for someone to let us in, but made us feel it was our fault and asked for tips. If you're not into partying, the noise from parties around the hostel probably makes this the wrong place.

The rooftop is nice, and the location is very good. The dorm was clean and decent, with a privacy curtain, but the walls are paper thin. The reception guy was playing his phone loudly, which was extremely annoying and unacceptable for guests. Even on a Thursday, we could hear a loud motorbike from the front room at 3 am. I spent one night in the dorm, then moved to a more private room because there was a huge group of kids. They asked me to switch quickly, so I left my really nice $70 water bottle on the bed. The cleaning lady said she didn’t find it, which I find hard to believe. She probably kept it. I wouldn’t necessarily go back.

The owner is super nice, and the place is quiet with everything you need. Great location too!
