Hotel Livingston Inn

The staff are nice, but they don’t speak English, and the WiFi doesn’t really work, nothing new in Ecuador. The hotel is close to a big street, so it’s noisy. Bring earplugs. The rooms are really old and outdated, though clean enough. Breakfast was good. Fine for one night near the airport.

It’s cheap, close to the mall, and the service is good. The rooms are clean and okay, though they could use a bit of a do-over. The breakfast is tasty. Hard to go too wrong here.

Breakfast is good, quick, and included, and the value for the price is very good. Service is very good too, though you’ll need to speak Spanish. The shower is basic and works, but the water is only warm, not hot.

Breakfast was included: fruit, fresh juice and coffee, followed by bolón with a fried egg and rice. The dining area, like the rest of the hotel, was clean. Despite the busy road outside, my room was quiet and spacious, with green and white tiles, a king bed, flat-screen TV, split AC and refrigerator. The shower worked well, and towels, soap and shampoo were provided. There’s also a small kitchen and a computer for guests on the same floor. Check-in was easy, through a security door. The hotel has no restaurant, but the nearby mall has plenty of fast food options. I didn’t drive, so I didn’t ask about parking. It’s a nice place and good value, though I was miffed they wouldn’t take cards, since I didn’t have much cash.
