The location is great, right near the terminal and market, and it’s quieter than you’d expect for somewhere in the middle of it all. The area felt a bit sketchy, but I had no trouble. The place itself is nothing special, and there are a couple of cheaper hostels nearby. No hot shower either. I won’t call those electric death traps hot, whatever they claim in South America. If it ain’t gas, it ain’t hot.

A family-run hotel in a great spot, very close to mercado Amazonas and plenty of downtown shops. It’s not well known.

I ended up here because I didn’t know the area, and I regret it. There’s no privacy: bathrooms are shared and you can hear everything. Hygiene is generally awful, it’s very noisy, and they charge extra for bank transfers. For the price, there are better places.

The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff service was excellent. It’s close to Ibarra’s bus terminal, markets, and restaurants. There’s a great social area for working on a laptop or just relaxing. They also have a cafeteria-style area, though they only serve food for groups. Everything was 10/10.

The owner’s service was terrible and despotic. She quoted us $15, then saw us with our suitcases and asked for $20, telling us to leave if we didn’t want to pay. The smell of food from the entrance was awful too.
