Hostel Santiago de Latacunga

They gave us excellent service and were very friendly. They always made sure we were looked after, and on weekends they bake pork.

I ended up in what I think was the ugliest room, though I imagine they may have nicer ones. It felt cold and dark, and being in there gave me awful anxiety. The TV was an old, bulky model. The toilet was dirty, and the sink pipes were covered in green mold or mildew. They also sell fried food on weekends 🤭. At least the service was very friendly. The hotel is centrally located, with a really well-stocked store right next door. Still, I didn't like the place much. It felt quite old.

The room was really nice, my compliments. The shower, though, was all over the place: it would get hot and then suddenly go cold, and it was leaking everywhere. They should replace it. I also wasn't told the garage cost extra. I asked if it was included, but had to pay separately.

The photos don't match the rooms at all. There were awful smells coming up from the drains, so the plumbing needs work. I'm also not sure the sheets were very clean.
