We had a confirmed booking at the San Sebastian and contacted them a couple of hours before arriving. Still, when we got there, they said they had no room for us. Apparently, we weren’t the only guests they’d put in that position. They said just one other hotel was within walking distance, but wouldn’t tell us where it was until we paid. The rate they charged was $25 above that hotel’s usual price. Since it was dark, we were tired, and we didn’t know the area, we paid. The next day, while walking around, we saw at least 6 comparable hotels no more than a 2 minute walk away.
