We woke up each morning to lovely volcano views from our comfortable, cozy suite. Darwin was incredibly patient with all our questions about local hikes, and arranged a guide for Iliniza Norte. Patricio was friendly, kind, fun, and a great guide. Juan also kindly picked us up from the airport, drove us to the Corazón trailhead, and took us back to Quito. He was so welcoming, friendly, and cheerful. Darwin is passionate about his guesthouse and really cares for the people staying there. He's also an incredible chef. Every meal my partner and I had was superb, from chicken and soup to beef, fish, and local dishes. Everything he cooked was tasty, full of flavor, healthy, and nourishing. Thank you, Darwin, Juan, and Patricio, for such an incredible time. We can't wait to come back!

A romantic mountain setting near Cotopaxi, and a nice fit for travelers wanting to be close to locals. The host is always willing to help arrange horseback-riding tours and transport to and from the hotel.

Everything near Cotopaxie costs more, but here you get a lot for your money, including the best food possible. Darwin loves cooking, and you can taste that in every plate. The lomo a la pierdra is a must-try. Great spot.
