Hotel Voyager Manta

I was extremely happy with my balcony room, and I fell in love with the hotel’s style. It’s very clean, and the owner and staff are super friendly. They helped me get around the area since it was my first time visiting Manta Ecuador. Breakfast is served, which was a plus for me, and the price seemed very reasonable. The location is handy too: The Mall Pacifico, Playa Murcielago, shops, restaurants, and the boardwalk are all within walking distance, and the airport is 15 to 20 minutes away. I can’t express how happy and satisfied I was with my stay at Hotel Voyager Manta. I’ll add more pictures once I’ve downloaded them. If you’re visiting Manta Ecuador, don’t hesitate to book here. We can’t wait to come back and bring our friends. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a little balcony overlooking the patio. Jose greeted us and gave impeccable service throughout. It was lovely to enjoy drinks and dinner with live music. The menu was small, which isn’t a bad thing, and the food was delicious. Chef Simon is very personable and chats with customers. You can taste the passion he puts into the cooking.

Good price for our two nights, and the room was nice, with a good bathroom, comfortable beds, and plenty of electrical outlets. There was a wardrobe for hanging clothes, bedside tables, and a mini fridge, though ours didn’t cool. The small AC unit cooled the room really well. It was quiet over the weekend, and the place felt very secure, with a locked gate you ring to be buzzed in. There’s outdoor seating too. They said continental breakfast was included, but we didn’t eat there. We arrived after dark and had trouble spotting the hotel sign, which is high up and hard to see from a car. Neither we nor the taxi driver saw it, so a lower street-level sign would help. It’s a short walk to the beach and a large mall, and we found Cafe Verde nearby, which was very nice. One of the young men at the front desk spoke some English and was very nice. Thank you. We’d definitely recommend it.

The renovated hotel was a great place to stay, whether for a night or a week. The new owners have done terrific work on this classic Manta property, and it’s one of the nicer places to stay in this oceanside city. It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle but close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay. I was there for the Grand Opening, less than 20' away, and saw and heard what happened. The band was completely at fault, and its friends posted negative reviews even though they weren’t there, based on the band’s lies about poor treatment. The bad reviews support the music group that played at the hotel. It’s strange that a few reviews are really bad while all the others give it 5’s. Google Maps needs to fix this, since it’s letting disgruntled employees who were completely at fault affect the place’s rating. This hotel is a 5 all the way!
