Antony went out of his way to help us contact our next hotel since our Spanish isn't very good. The breakfast was delicious, our room was spacious and clean, and the rest of the staff were helpful and nice. We spotted lots of birds that were new to us, and the river on the property was beautiful. The location was very good too. Everything was wonderful during our three-night stay ☺️

Anthony and his dad took us on a fantastic birding trip. They know a lot and even had a great lens for us to use, and the trip can be done in Spanish or English. We also got a very good value transfer to the airport. It's a family-run place, and everyone is friendly and incredibly accommodating. They let us check in early and have breakfast after our excursions, for example. Casa del Ceilia is the best. We hope to come back one day. Thanks!

The service is really good, and they serve a delicious breakfast from 8:00 to 9:30. Casa de Cecilia sits in a beautiful area right beside the river. If you get a riverside room, you can hear the water flowing. So calm and relaxing.

It's generally a nice, clean hostel, but a few things bothered me. When I arrived at 9pm, nobody was there, and no one answered the bell or the displayed Whatsapp number. I waited about 30 minutes. The WiFi wasn't working, and they gave me the wrong bus departure times. That wasn't a big deal, but it was a little annoying.

The accommodation is beautiful and the location is lovely. The wooden building carries sound between neighboring rooms, so noise is a sensitivity. Drinking water costs 50 cent per bottle. This was the only accommodation In Ecuador where I was charged for drinking water. Also, digital nomads kept working in the common areas and taking the same spots each day, without making eye contact or saying hello.
