The cabin was lovely, and we had a great time using the pool together as a family. Breakfast was fabulous, and our hosts were incredibly helpful. The whole stay was better than we expected.

We could watch birds from bed, with the forest right around the comfortable, clean rooms. They’re a little dated, but there was hot water. Mindo Real is about a five-minute walk from the village, and we spotted toucans on the way. The family running it were wonderfully attentive and made us feel at home. We especially enjoyed the enormous breakfasts in the garden, with birds flitting about, plus the pool, hammocks, and path down to the river.

We really enjoyed our time here. The lodge sits beside the river, so you can hear it at night, and it’s about a 12-minute walk to town. Our kids, aged four and seven, managed the walk there and back. The hosts were lovely and stayed in touch to help with anything we needed. Breakfast, served from 8:30-10, was delicious.

We saw lots of birds in the beautiful gardens, and even spotted a capybara. It’s a nice place for families, with a great pool and tasty breakfast. The hotel is near town but far enough away to avoid the noise. Our room was comfortable and cleaned each day.

Falling asleep to the sound of rain was so peaceful. Our clean, cozy bungalow had reliable internet, and the staff were attentive and really helpful. There are hammocks for relaxing, and the lovely pool was a highlight. Breakfast was incredible. It’s a convenient spot, about a 10-12 minute walk to the town center.
