We came as a family and stayed four nights. The beautiful view from the hotel was a highlight, and we spent a couple of days hiking locally and mountain biking. The food was excellent, the rooms were neat and clean, and service was fast. The facility is excellent too. Everyone, including the owners, paid close attention and went out of their way to meet our needs. We were treated like family.

For the price, this place feels a bit sad and too modern, without the feel of many older haciendas or much luxury. The prices seem highly exaggerated for what it is. They don’t even offer half-day spa prices, and it feels like they’re counting on richer American or European tourists being willing to pay anything. There are better options at the same price or less.

We felt safe staying here, and I’d totally recommend it. The staff were kind and always ready to help me and my family. We rode horses around the hills and saw an amazing view of San Pablo's lake from the mountain top. Our room had a jacuzzi with a panoramic lake view, and they also offered spa treatments and massages. Dinner at their restaurant was tasty and filling, with a good selection of wines and cocktails. By far the nest place to stay near Otavalo.
