The location is excellent for getting around Santa Cruz, though the hotel itself feels worn in quite a few places and has seen better days. We spent three nights there. Room 11, where we stayed the first night, was cramped for two, and the air conditioner right outside the window was so loud overnight, close to 60 decibels, that sleeping was difficult. We raised the issue and were moved the next day to a bigger, much nicer room, which we appreciated.

I enjoyed staying at this sweet little place near the Puerto Ayora waterfront. The rooms are small but do the job. Meals are served in a partly open-air courtyard, and having a pool there is a nice bonus.

The rooms are cleaned daily and breakfast is included. Wi-Fi was strongest in the lobby, though. There’s a small pool beside the desk, and it was clean, but I didn’t see anyone using it. The self check-in is done by QR code, with the receptionist mostly acting as an IT guide and handing out the keys. For what it is, I found the hotel overpriced.

The place has a pleasant shared area with a pool and a view from the top, and the service was okay. It’s also very central for the port and main streets. Our room was damp and the sheets were stained, while the Wi-Fi was weak. We also had problems with the electricity and water. Maybe that was just an unusual issue during our stay, but it did happen.

For what you get, it’s decent. The pool and lower level were nice, and the location worked well. The rooms seemed a bit dated and had a strange smell.
