Red Mangrove Aventura Lodge

The staff were great, and we had no trouble communicating despite not speaking Spanish. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard, while the ocean-view rooms looked especially spectacular. The design is a little quirky, with each room having its own character. There’s also an amazing restaurant. Breakfast is basic but good, and the coffee was very good too. During our visit they were serving 1835 coffee, from just up the road, where they make great coffee.

We had a great view from our comfortable room, and the staff were very helpful. At breakfast you can watch sea lions, marine iguanas and different kinds of birds. Such a lovely setting.

The restaurant was exceptional, and everyone on staff was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We stayed in June 2019 and found the room comfortable in a fabulous setting. Google Maps still had the old name, Red Mangrove, when we were there, but hopefully it will be updated to Galapagos Habitat soon. Either way, five stars from us.

The rooms were beautiful, and the staff did a great job cleaning and getting them ready. Breakfast was cooked for us personally, and we ate while lounging sealions were nearby. The views were amazing too. You might see a few bugs, but that's part of being in the Galapagos, where we're visitors and the fauna are the permanent residents. I can't recommend this hotel enough. WOW.
