The staff were nice and the place had a relaxed feel. We paid $18 for a double room with a private bathroom. There was no breakfast, but the shower had hot water. You can use the kitchen, though it wasn’t very clean. Ask for a room away from the street, since it’s noisy, or bring earplugs.

The garden was lovely, but the room was noisy and not very clean, with mold in the bathroom. I think the pricier rooms may be better. I also really disliked finding wild animals and birds kept in small cages. We left after one night.

Máxima was incredibly helpful and gave me some great advice. She even let me clean my motorbike. She’s an exceptional person, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The woman running the place was really nice and helpful. Still, it didn’t feel like a proper campground, since you camp in the garden among the buildings, and the owners didn’t seem to like that much. It wasn’t very clean either, and the bathroom and shower were on the third floor of one of the buildings.

It’s a quiet, low-key place about two blocks from the beach. The American expat who runs it and his Ecuadorian wife are both lovely and very helpful. Definitely check it out.
