Manteña Boutique Hotel

The location is central and convenient, close to everything, but the service was disappointing. Breakfast took a long time, the pool was very dirty, and the grounds looked neglected, with maintenance seemingly unplanned. On our second day, we had breakfast with the smell of drains because work was going on there at the time. The rooms look heavily decorated in the promotional photos, but are very basic in person. I wouldn’t come back.

The pool was wonderful, breakfast was delicious, and the beach is nearby. The staff were attentive and available, answering questions and sorting out problems. I think the man who helped us was named Steven, and he was incredibly kind with excellent service. I’d have liked to try the cocktails, but ran out of time. You can tell from other people’s comments what you’re paying for. That doesn’t mean the quality is bad, far from it, but don’t expect hotel-level service or five-star treatment if the description doesn’t promise it. For the price, it was excellent value, and I’ll be back.

Really nice place, and the best location for getting around Puerto Lopez.

The service was poor from the start. Breakfasts were incomplete and the pools were cold. For $25 a night, I think you can find somewhere better. It doesn’t look like the pictures, and I really wouldn’t recommend it. I hope they improve so guests can have a better experience.
