Even in the coast's off-season, everything at the resort was running normally. It's a pleasant place, with comfortable houses, a heated pool, and a receptionist who's always pleasant. The breakfasts are average.

The staff were amazing, especially those who went out of their way to give great service. I felt very safe staying and traveling here with my two friends. The cabañas are lovely, the pool is gorgeous, and the sea is right next door. Food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I'd love to return!

We loved swimming in the pool at night and watching the bats and nighthawks catch insects. The host family were great, the beach was nice, and Puerto Lopez was a lovely town that wasn't too touristy, which suited us. My husband and I stayed in January 2016 and had a wonderful time. Breakfasts were wonderful, and although we didn't have lunch, we heard all the food was great.

The cabana views are breathtaking, and the place feels private and very romantic. The family atmosphere is so welcoming. The food and service are excellent, and they're very accommodating. If you're after the Four Seasons, this isn't the place. But if you love the outdoors, you'll love Oceanic-Hosteria. I can't say enough!

I loved the pool, but I thought $100 per room was too much for the service. The beds weren't comfortable, and we waited 40 minutes for breakfast. All we got was eggs with bread.
