The owners were very kind and gave us recommendations for places to visit. My husband and I loved the beautiful, first-rate suite, with all the comforts and a lovely view of nature. The beach is a short walk or bike ride away. I wholeheartedly recommend the Palo Santo suites. It's a memorable experience for couples, away from city noise and close to nature. Definitely a hidden paradise in Ecuador.

The apartment has all you need for a longer stay, including a secure, enclosed garage, and the host is always available if anything comes up. Palosantosuites is a great place near the center of Ayampe. You can walk to the beach and town center, with shops nearby. Buses pass along the main road every 20-30 minutes.

It's modern and really peaceful, a nice place to relax without feeling too touristy.
