Hospedaje Delfin Azul

We spent two weeks at Hospedaje El Delfín Azul, and it turned out to be a really strategic base for our trip to the Galápagos Islands. It was easy to arrange all our activities from there, without wasting time. The location works especially well if you want to mix diving and snorkeling, particularly along the island’s west coast, which is one of its most distinctive and nature-rich areas. It’s also a great starting point for trips inland, including the spectacular visit to Volcán Chico, one of the most memorable experiences of our stay. A convenient, well-located choice for enjoying the island from the sea to the volcanoes.

The facilities are excellent, but they haven’t been maintained or looked after well enough to provide good service. Management and staff were barely present or attentive. On our first day, they said they’d come to service the room and change our towels, but neither happened. Check-in took a 20-minute wait, and we didn’t see anyone again for the rest of our stay. There was no hot water. We messaged them on WhatsApp to ask where the kitchen light was, but never got a reply. The kitchen had nearly everything, but it was in very poor condition. At night it was overrun with cats and cockroaches, which made it difficult to eat there.

Comfortable rooms, a lovely patio, and the best part is being able to use the kitchen. The service was great. Best hotel!

Room cleaning was missing, there was no shower curtain or cable TV, and other services were slow. Service and customer care were poor, though the people themselves are excellent.
