There was no running water, and I was shocked by what felt like electricity in the shower and at the light switch. The property was dirty and dangerous, with ants and unsanitary conditions. The owner wasn't on site to deal with problems during our stay, and came across as rude. The beach location is good, but there isn't really a bad location in town. There are plenty of cheaper options with better service. Stay here if you like the conditions I described.

We spent three nights here and it was perfect, quiet, and convenient. If you need Wi-Fi, it works better from the office or the hammocks outside.

I paid $65 through Airbnb, even though I could have stayed somewhere cleaner for $20, but I'd already booked. The place is dirty and run-down, with rotten complimentary soap, a rotten-wood smell from the furniture, and dirty windows. There's no kitchen and no breakfast service. You can only enter from the beach, and the owner doesn't switch on the lights, so bring a flashlight at night. He wouldn't let me use the air conditioning and told me to open the windows. He also asked me not to turn on the lights because of the mosquitoes. His friendliness seems to cover up how little he wants to spend on improving a place with real potential.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the beachfront setting is peaceful. There was fine white sand, hammocks, and bodyboards. No cars come between the hotel and the turquoise sea.
