Apartamentos Filatelia

I liked nearly everything: the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view and location were both nice. It felt safe and was close to everything. The one problem was the shower. The sink had hot water, but the shower didn't, and I couldn't figure out why.

The rooms are really large, and the front desk staff were accommodating and helpful. I also felt very safe here: you leave your key at the desk when you head out, then buzz to get back in. A nice place to stay while in Quito.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel has hot water and fresh towels. The rooms are cramped and on the small side, while Wi-Fi in Ecuador, as I've experienced elsewhere, can be slow and spotty. It's reasonably priced for what you get. It isn't the Hilton, but if you mainly need somewhere to sleep or a base for exploring the sights, it works.

The staff were friendly and did try to help, but we were on the fifth floor and there was no elevator. Hot water came through very slowly and then turned cold. The floor was dirty, and I found hairs in the bathroom, drawers, on the towels, and on the curtain.
