Hotel Villa Lafayette

A wonderful, affordable hotel in a great location, with excellent service and super nice staff. This was a great find for me.

It's an old-fashioned hotel, but from the outside it still looks nice. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome. The hot water, though, isn't steady.

Very clean, good value, good breakfast, and a great location.

I can't recommend this place. I lost money here and they won't return it. They say I have to speak to someone else, but that's up to them. I overpaid, and I feel they are thieves. I had a heart attack that I believe was due to chemicals there, so I canceled my last night, but they were too greedy to help. There was no hot water, the environment felt toxic, and the WiFi was useless. The staff were friendly and tried to accommodate me, but they couldn't, and the owner made the stay cost me $$$. They refuse to answer Expedia. If you want to explore while staying there, they charge to hold your things, while other hotels do that for free. It wasn't worth even $1 a night, and I deeply regret losing my money there. They know I don't have more. Who would knowingly take your money when the environment they offer nearly killed you, then blame you? I sent a medical request before my stay, and they claim it never happened. Here's the proof, a message left for Villa Lafayette. They already knew about my illness. The owner acts like no one knew and like I hadn't told anyone, and stole my money. Crooks.
