A really nice hotel, run by a great family. It's the best place to stay when you're exploring quito.

The decor is nice, the rooms have lagoon names, and there's a library. I know the place from leaving people there, and it's in a good location. The downsides are the old TVs, as I remember them, and paid Wi-Fi. They haven't upgraded to smart TVs like some other hostels, and breakfast isn't great either. The biggest problem is trying to book ahead. I've wanted to reserve a week or a month in advance, and even went in person to ask. Online, I couldn't find anything saying how to contact the hostel. When I asked how to book, they just said there were no rooms, without asking when I'd need one or saying when something might open up. Once I went on a Tuesday hoping to get a room for Friday, but they were all booked. It seems to come down to luck, and booking ahead doesn't feel possible, so don't count on getting a room. I've managed to stay twice, luckily, and twice I couldn't. That's what bothers me, and I wanted to say so.
