My main problem came at checkout. I’d left my credit card at check-in to cover any spending, then asked for an itemized breakdown when I checked out. The representative didn’t give me one and just said, “It’s ok.” For over a week I’ve been trying to get a response from the hotel about an almost $200 charge for consumption, even though I provided evidence that most of it had already been paid at the time. I’ve waited days for an answer. Maybe this negative review will get the case resolved; otherwise, let it serve as a warning. I stayed at Dann Carlton from 02/12 to 04/12. The location was good, the room was fine, and the gym was excellent, though there were no towels for guests and it got very sweaty. Breakfast had a good range of food, but the coffee wasn’t great, even from the espresso machine.

I’d stay here again. The breakfast, gym, and location were all fantastic, and the gym itself is a great facility, though its hours can be odd. Still, this feels like a 4 star hotel rather than a 5 star one. The room TVs don’t have streaming services, there are no bathrobes or slippers, and nobody offered to carry the bags, things I’d expect at a 5 star.

I had a disappointing stay. The room was dated and unclean, and it didn’t look like the photos. Noise made it hard to sleep, and the air conditioning barely worked. When I asked for help, staff weren’t very responsive. Not a good experience.

We stayed here for two separate nights, on our way to and back from the Galapagos. The man who checked us in on both February 7th and 15th was so friendly and helpful. I wish I’d remembered his name. Thanks!!!

Really good place, with excellent food and parking accessible from the back. The meeting rooms are very nice, and the regular rooms and indoor spaces are great too.
