That unfinished bathroom in the three-bed room, with scraps of torn nursery wallpaper still there, says a lot about the place. The second floor is covered in dingy carpet, bedrooms included, and much of the interior looks thrown together and pretty unpleasant. I get that locals need cheap places to stay or rent long term, but if you can choose somewhere else, do.
The location is good, and it works well if you're watching your budget.
The hotel itself isn't too bad, but avoid the damp, freezing cold rooms at the back.
The location makes getting around easy, with all sorts of shops close by. It's affordable too, and fine if you just need somewhere to walk around from.
I only needed somewhere to sleep for a night, and this hostel had what I needed for the price: Wi-Fi, cleanliness, hot water, and a quiet night's rest. The building is a little old and looks as if it may once have belonged to someone important, but I slept peacefully. It's also in a great spot, close to everything.
