The building feels like it’s seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and the internet was some of the fastest I’ve had in Ecuador. We did run into a booking problem, though they managed to sort it out.

The manager was rude, and the customer service was terrible. Our sheets were stiff and dirty, the internet cut out at midnight, and the room cost far too much. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

For $40, we got hot water, clean sheets, parking, and the option to check in at 1 a.m. The downsides were the old, small rooms and the very low ceiling. You have to bend over to get from the room to the bathroom. The parking area is so tight that the owner had to park our car himself because he was used to it.

At $50 USD a night, this basic, aging hotel is hard to justify. A room like this should cost no more than $20 USD, and that’s being generous. Like many places in Quito, it’s quite old and needs renovation.
