The building is beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were great. But it was so noisy that sleeping was almost impossible, since traffic sounds came through the poor windows all the time. Hot water also took several minutes to reach the shower.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location near grand central plaza was great. The concierge provided excellent service.

The service was friendly and helpful, and breakfast on the lovely terrace came with a wonderful view. My room had a traditional Spanish nobility style, a modern bathroom, and a great view of Plaza Santo Domingo. It was clean and in the historic center. It felt a bit cold, but there were bathrobes and good blankets.

The dining room has an amazing view, and breakfast was lovely. Our bedroom was very clean, and the bed and linen were the most comfortable I've had in Ecuador. The staff were super helpful and take security seriously. We loved staying here.
