Hotel Casablanca Chipipe

It looks fancier in person than it does in the photos. Great place to stay, with a good location, great customer service, and a nice price for the quality.

The facilities were okay, but the service was very bad. Neither reception nor management spoke English, or seemed willing to. After our room had no hot water, we decided to leave early. I waited over three hours, then was told to go and that the refund would supposedly be paid within seven days. They wouldn't give me anything in writing. Incompetent staff and scammers. Don't book this hotel!

It was convenient, right across from the beach, but the food wasn't good. We thought the marinera rice had been reheated because it didn't seem fresh. We left the whole plate and were still charged. The restaurant was almost empty, and the servers weren't around much.

Lovely location, view, and place, and the service was good. Shame about the food. The menu is limited, which should make it easy to manage. Drinks came nicely presented with a non-recyclable straw, and the condiments were in non-recyclable sachets. Even the salt was damp. The server recommended the ribs, so that's what I ordered. The meal was two pieces of rib, fries, and a salad. The salad, the cheapest part, was just two tomato slices, two cucumber slices, one lettuce leaf, and five carrot slivers with store bought honey mustard dressing. The fries were the freshest part. The ribs were dry on the outside and an odd color, with store bought BBQ sauce poured over them. The meat seemed to have been microwaved before the sauce was added. It didn't taste fresh or freshly cooked that day, and seemed like leftovers, possibly from the night before, stored uncovered in a refrigerator. It's such a shame that the food tarnishes such a great location. I wouldn't recommend eating anything here except the French fries.
