There’s a big garden where you can relax, and the food is amazing. The owner is a very kind man and can help out. It’s a calm, quiet place, especially handy for a night before or after a flight since it’s really close to the airport.

They got back to us quickly on WhatsApp about our late arrival, and charged $5 for the airport drop-off. The rooms are simple and clean, and they had a snack packed thoughtfully for our early departure. Just the right place to stay before flying out.

We were nine people starting a birding trip, and Chapelet Hostal worked perfectly for the two nights we needed to settle into the altitude. The grounds and food were lovely, and we really liked the friendly dogs. The people were lovely too. Highly recommend.

We spent our last night in Ecuador here, and the host was flexible and quick to respond about when we’d arrive. He gave us an early ride to the airport and had breakfast packed and waiting. The rooms felt clean and safe, and the stay was comfortable and personal. So close to the airport, it’s hard to beat.

The rooms are simple, clean, and not too expensive, and there are some really cute dogs around. Felipe is trustworthy and can keep your luggage for you. He’s very responsive on WhatsApp and will pick you up or drop you off at the airport at any time of day. Since the hostel is so close, it’s a great place to rest before heading farther into Ecuador. I’ll call him every time I’m in Ecuador!
