The staff were nice, the rooms were clean enough, and someone was always around to open the gate when we came back. The place is very basic, though, pretty much what you'd expect for the price. The kitchen was a mess: sticky and dirty, with ants on the counter. I know ants can be common in South America, but keeping the place clean could help prevent them. The utensils were old and dirty too, and the shelves were dusty and filthy.

You're close to the terminal, restaurants, and discotecas, and the rooms and shared bathrooms were extremely clean. The wifi worked well, towels were provided, and the staff were generally attentive. I did have to wait outside for about 15 minutes when I returned during the day because nobody was watching the door. For a hostel, I also found it a little pricey, especially with co-ed shared bathrooms and no breakfast included. There are other places with better accommodations for less.

A W all around. Clean, comfortable, well kept, and accommodating.

They let us leave our bags there before check-in, which was kind, and the fan in the room was fairly strong. The bathrooms were clean, but getting the shower temperature right was difficult: it swung between very hot and cold. Our room didn't feel very hygienic. There was a blood splatter on the floor, and I'll attach the picture. The beds were a bit hard, but fine for one night.

The owner is really nice, and the hostel is quiet, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. It's budget friendly and close to shops, the malecon where tourists go, banks, bakeries, and plenty more. I like staying here when I'm taking time off from my volunteering gig in the Amazonas forest.
