The front desk staff member, Jacqueline, gave me useful tips on taxis, places to visit, and things to do. Everyone was patient and polite despite the language differences, and very helpful. The peaceful gardens made it easy to relax, and the food was delicious and very traditional. My husband and I also had massages, which were professional and deeply relaxing. Above all, the owner and staff were so warm and attentive that we felt even more comfortable than at home. Hostería Paraíso really lives up to its name. We loved our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vilcabamba. Thank you!

I shortened my time in Cuenca so I could come back here. I’d missed Jacky’s attention to detail and her cheerful attitude! She puts her heart into running the place, and the owner and staff are truly amazing. It’s been better than some five-star hotels I’ve stayed in.

The service and food really made the stay for me. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we tried lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. Everything was delicious. The grounds and rooms are very clean, and there are three beautiful resident dogs. They respect your space, but were happy to be petted when I wanted to say hello :) I loved having a second-floor room for extra privacy. The rooms sit among the gardens, with birds to watch and hear and greenery all around.

The staff are incredible, and the property itself is beautiful. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and highly recommend it. It’s also well placed for downtown and nearby hikes.
