The setting is lovely, but it needs different management. When we stayed for my Erasmus project in August 2021, the owner was unhelpful and impolite when we asked for things. Our rooms hadn't been cleaned before we arrived, and there were two alcohol bottles under a bed that looked as if they'd been there forever. Hygiene was below an acceptable level, and toilet paper wasn't available. Wi-Fi only worked near the main office, where all 10 of us struggled to connect.
During a summer 2023 class trip, we found egg-smelling water, bad food, and bed bugs. It was horrible.
The water wasn't drinkable, and the room was in awful shape hygiene-wise. Even the blankets were dirty.
The owner wasn't friendly, and the sheets weren't clean. The internet only worked well in one spot.
We were there with a camper and 30 children, and it was an awful place to camp. The water smelled terrible, even though the owner kept saying the filter worked and it was clean after we'd asked several times. We had to buy drinking water. When about 30 people had already used the barrel sauna, we asked to have its water changed and were told it was very expensive. We had to insist. We paid a high fee to use the kitchen, but it was filthy and the fridge was broken, so we lost a lot of food. The rooms were dirty and the bed linen was awful. It felt like the owner was tired of keeping the place tidy. Afterward, he disagreed with our complaints and said everything was fine and clean for him. We tried to find a compromise, but it was hard. This was our first visit, and we won't return.
